A is for Alignment

As with everything in life, knowledge is power. To know how your body is designed to work and how it works is a fabulous piece of knowledge. One of the principles of Pilates is alignment. During my classes, I aim to make you aware of your body’s alignment. Each of the joints in our bodies are designed to work in a specific way and this is what it is in these mechanical rules that we try to install in your awareness when we teach you about alignment.

Why, back to the headline knowledge is power if you know how your body is designed to move (in correct alignment) then you can work out why something might wear out sooner and thus undertake remedial action.
